About the training

The Certificate 3 Guarantee program provides eligible Queenslanders with an opportunity to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification subsidised by the Queensland Government. Individuals are required to pay a reduced co-contribution fee to gain access to the government subsidy.

Subsidised training Under the Certificate 3 Guarantee

Concession card holders pay as little as $20 and non-concessional students pay just $50. The remainder of the course fees are subsidised under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program. It is important that you take the time to consider and compare your training options and costs as a completed Certificate III course will use your Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidy entitlement.

Student fees may be paid on behalf of a student by a referring agency such as a Workforce Australia Provider or other employment service provider. High school graduates, school leavers and Yr13 students may also apply.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee funding if you meet all the following requirements:

You are 15 years of age or older
Have finished or left secondary school
Are a Queensland Resident
Are an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
Not hold, and not be enrolled in, a certificate III or higher-level qualification*, not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training.

*Qualifications completed prior to 1995 do not affect eligibility. If you have completed a course, please speak with us as we may still be able to suggest other options for funding or payment plans
