The Certificate III in Community Services is designed to develop a broad range of competencies and skills. This qualification will prepare you to work in a range of community service roles such as Aged Care, Disability, Youth Work and others. It prepares you for case management, individual needs planning, health and well-being strategies, working with disabilities, cultural diversity, and working with at-risk individuals. The Certificate III in Community Services also incorporates a work experience element that will enable you to put into practice the theory and skills you will learn. Vocational Placement | Students need to obtain experience in a relevant workplace and satisfactorily demonstrate a series of skills. The minimum number of hours required as part of this placement is 20. Placement may be voluntary work or paid employment in a relevant role. Students are required to obtain the site-specific clearances to participate in Vocational Placement, this may include Disability clearance, Working with children check or police checks. |

Attendance | 2 - 3 zoom sessions per week. Zoom sessions will occur during business hours. Usually after midday. Students are required to complete online theory assessments in addition to the zoom sessions. |

Delivery Method | All theory is completed online. To assist with the learning, students are required to attend online live zoom sessions each week. Vocational placement is undertaken once all of the theory has been completed unless the student is already working in the industry. |
