The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is designed to develop a range of competencies and skills. The demand for early childhood educators is increasing. Learn the skills and gain knowledge to provide a positive environment and facilitate children’s play and learning. Through the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will be equipped for a position as a child care worker or educator. Qualification Level Certificate III
Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Over 17 years old, not attending secondary school. Must also complete a language, literacy and numeracy test
Nominal Duration 15 weeks face to face + 6 weeks vocational placement
Attendance 2 - 3 days per week
Assessment Methods Short answer questions, case studies, role plays, projects, skills observations, vocational placement
Delivery Method Face to face learning + vocational placement
Course Materials All course materials are included
Vocational Placement Minimum 160 hours vocational placement required at a relevant workplace. Placement may be voluntary work or paid employment in a relevant role. Students must be able to pass a working with children check. Some organisations may also request a police check and require workers to be fully vaccinated
WA CAMPUS

QLD STRUCTURED ONLINE

Qualification Level Certificate III
Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Over 17 years old, not attending secondary school. Must also complete a language, literacy and numeracy test
Nominal Duration 15 weeks + 6 weeks vocational placement (see delivery method for more information)
Attendance 2 - 3 zoom sessions per week. Zoom sessions will occur during business hours, usually after midday. Students are required to complete online theory assessments in addition to the zoom sessions. Students are also required to attend 1 practical session (9am to 3pm) at one of our academy locations prior to commencing vocational placement.

Delivery Method All theory is completed online. To assist with learning, students are required to attend a live zoom session each day. Students are also required to attend 1 practical session (9am to 3pm) at one of our academy locations. Structured online is only available to Queensland-based students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Must be an international student on a student visa (subclass 500). IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English language test result or the completion of 12-week Strategix IELTS Preparation Program. Yr 12 equivalent (High School Graduate Certificate)
