QLD CAMPUS

Qualification Level Certificate III
Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Over 15 years old, not attending secondary school. Must also complete a language, literacy and numeracy test
Nominal Duration 9 weeks
Attendance 2 - 3 days per week

Elective units
Option 1 - Forklift Licence
TLILIC0003 LIcence to operate a forklift truck - Students who choose Forklift as their elective will receive training as part of the course and at the conclusion of the course, will have the opportunity to undertake the assessment and receive a class LF High Risk Work licence. Those undertaking the assessment must be over 18 years of age. Previous driving experience is helpful but not necessary to obtain a forklift licence.

Although Forklift assessment pass rates are among the highest in the industry, the licence is not a guarantee and students must demonstrate the minimum competencies standards before a licence can be issued. Additional fees may apply if resits are required.
Option 2 - Heavy rigid licence upgrade
TLIC3004 Drive heavy rigid vehicle - Students who choose this option will receive training in an automatic heavy rigid vehicle and will undertake an assessment with QLD Transport for the opportunity to receive their HR licence. To choose this option you must have held a C class licence in QLD for a minimum of 2 years. Students who have held a C class licence in other states will need to obtain a record of their driver history from the relevant State Authority before they can sit the test.

Option 3 - Certificate Only
Students not eligible to participate in forklift or heavy rigid vehicle training, or who have no interest in obtaining these skills will undertake TLIA0004 Complete receival and despatch operations.
SA CAMPUS

WORKPLACE

Delivery Method This option is suitable for anyone currently employed in the industry, in a relevant work role. Training is delivered at the workplace over a 12 month period. In coordination with the organisation, trainers will visit at regular intervals to provide training and assessment. Students will be required to complete tasks between visits.
Course Materials All course materials are included. The organisation will need to provide access to production equipment
Forklift Training and Assessment Where forklift training and assessment is requested, the organisation will need to provide a forklift in a safe working condition, and a currently licenced operator who will be able to supervise the learner while they're operating the machinery. Participants must be over 18 years of age to sit the assessment. Previous driving experience is helpful but not necessary to obtain a forklift licence.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Must be an International Student on a student visa (subclass 500). IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English language test result or the completion of 12-week Strategix IELTS Preparation program. Yr 12 equivalent (High School Graduate Certificate)
