Terms and Conditions
Enrolment and Withdrawal
To enrol in a course at Strategix, students must complete the official enrolment form. By enrolling, students agree to comply with Strategix's policies and procedures.
Withdrawal Process
Any request for a withdrawal must be made in writing using the Withdrawal Form (located on Strategix’s website).
Students must be aware that a withdrawal from the course may affect their visa.
Strategix Initiated Withdrawal
Strategix may withdraw a student from the course due to:
- Non-payment of fees
- Student misconduct
- Strategix being unable to deliver the course
- Breach of student visa conditions
- Student failed to meet course progression and/or attendance requirements.
Strategix reserves the right to immediately withdraw a student without the opportunity for an appeal when the student’s health or wellbeing, or the wellbeing of others, is likely to be at risk.
Deferrals
Any request for a deferral must be made in writing using the Deferral Application Form (located on Strategix’s website).
A student may request the enrolment to be deferred only in case of:
- Student visa not being granted before the course commencement date
- Compassionate or compelling circumstances.
The duration of a deferral of studies is a maximum of 6 months. If a student requires a longer duration, Strategix may assess the case and determine the best course of action with the student. In cases where the maximum deferral duration is not long enough, the student may be advised to withdraw from the course.
All deferrals are reported to the Department of Home Affairs and may affect a student visa.
Transferring Providers
Requests to Transfer from Another RTO
Strategix will ensure international students wishing to transfer from another RTO course prior to completing six (6) calendar months of their principal course of study will not be enrolled; except where:
The releasing RTO has issued the student a Release Letter and/or recorded the date of effect and reason for release in PRISMS
- The releasing RTO, or the course in which the student is enrolled, has ceased to be registered
The releasing RTO has had a sanction imposed on its registration by the ESOS agency that prevents the student from continuing their course with that RTO
Any government sponsor of the student considers the change to be in the student’s best interests and has provided written support for the change. This usually applies where the student’s study in Australia is sponsored by the government of another country.
Requests to Transfer to another RTO
International students who wish to transfer to another RTO prior to the student completing six (6) calendar months of their principal course of study can only do so once they have obtained a Release Letter from Strategix under “certain circumstances” or if one of the “conditions” outlined are met.
Requests to transfer to another educational institution will be treated as a withdrawal (which may affect a student visa), and the Department of Home Affairs will be advised accordingly.
Overseas Student Health Cover
It is an Australian Government requirement that all students studying on a student visa are covered by Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). If the student prematurely withdraws from their course and returns home, the prepaid portion may be refunded by the Health Cover Provider, upon request. Students accompanied by family must pay the OSHC family fee.
English Only
Strategix is an English Only environment. The policy of speaking English Only while on campus is actively enforced by all staff, with the primary goal of helping students to meet their learning goals. By enrolling at Strategix, the student is committing to follow this rule at all times.
Complaints and Appeals
As per Strategix’s Complaints and Appeals Policy, students are encouraged to resolve any complaint or appeal informally prior to making a formal lodgment. A formal lodgment should be sent to [email protected] and include: the submission date, the name and contact details of the individual lodging, the nature of the situation, and any relevant documentation.
If the complaint or appeal is in relation to a situation relating to a withdrawal notification, the student’s enrolment will be maintained throughout the complaints and appeals process until the matter is resolved.
In cases where the student is not satisfied with how Strategix’s internal process were conducted, they should contact the Overseas Students Ombudsman http://www.ombudsman.gov.au/about/overseas-students.
This agreement, and the availability of a complaints and appeals process, does not circumscribe a student’s right to pursue other legal remedies or to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.
Strategix is not required to provide the opportunity for a student to make an appeal when the student’s health or wellbeing, or the wellbeing of others, is likely to be at risk.
Fees/Payments
Students are required to pay all fees in line with their payment contract terms and conditions. Strategix reserves the right to withdraw a student who is not able to or refuses to pay outstanding fees. Once a student has been withdrawn from the course, they will be followed up for a period of time before being referred to an external debt collection agency.
Refunds
A student may be eligible for a refund if they provide written notice of withdrawal at least 4 weeks before the course commencement date. Refer to Strategix’s Refund Policy for further details.
Students who have paid fees and are not granted a student visa may be eligible for a refund. A refund request must be made in writing, accompanied by visa rejection evidence.
Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 28 days of receiving the written request.
Refunds will be made in Australian Dollars and will not include bank charges or exchange rate variations.
Updates to Terms and Conditions
Strategix reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on Strategix’s website, and students will be notified via email or other communication channels.
Students are advised to regularly review the Terms and Conditions for any updates or modifications.
By continuing to enrol in a course at Strategix, students agree to abide by the latest version of the Terms and Conditions.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By signing the enrolment form or enrolling online, the student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the Terms and Conditions outlined in this document.
If a student is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must also sign the enrolment form, acknowledging and accepting the Terms and Conditions on behalf of the student.
