The CHCSS00098 Individual Support – Disability Skill Set is for individuals working in various capacities in the industry and want to increase their skills and competencies relating to individuals with disabilities.

| Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions | Over 17 years old, not attending secondary school. Must be able to pass a working with children check and police check and must be currently employed in the Disability sector. To be eligible for Higher Level Skills Funding, students must be a New or Existing Worker in the Community Services and Health Industry in a role involving provision of direct client care or support. Students must also hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent). This is in addition to meeting the other Higher Level Skills eligibility criteria. |

| Vocational Placement | Students need to obtain experience in a relevant workplace and satisfactorily demonstrate a series of skills. The minimum number of hours required as part of this placement is 120. Placement may be voluntary work or paid employment in a relevant role. Students must be able to pass some background checks e.g. police check and working with children |
| Resource Requirements | Students must have their own access to computer and internet to access the course materials. Students are also need a webcam, camera or other recording device to be able to record role plays |
