About the training

To support Queensland’s year 12 graduates to successfully transition into employment, Strategix has created a Year 13 Program for eligible Queenslanders with an opportunity to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification at a discounted co-contribution fee subsidised by the Queensland Government through the Certificate 3 Guarantee program*.

*The Certificate 3 Guarantee program provides eligible Queenslanders with an opportunity to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification subsidised by the Queensland Government. Individuals are required to pay a co-contribution fee to gain access to the government subsidy.

Subsidised training from $1

Through the Year 13 Program, eligible participants can undertake nationally accredited training and pay as little as $1

Concession holders pay just $1 and non-concessional students pay just $2. The remainder of the course fees are subsidised under the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training initiative. It is important that you take the time to consider and compare your training options and costs as a completed Certificate III course will use your Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidy entitlement.

Student fees may be paid on behalf of a student by a referring agency such as a JAP or other employment service provider.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee funding if you meet all the following requirements:

You are 15 years of age or older
Have finished or left secondary school
Are a Queensland Resident
Are an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
Not hold, and not be enrolled in, a certificate III or higher-level qualification, not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training

Note: Current apprentices and trainees are not eligible to undertake training under the Certificate 3 Guarantee without prior written approval by the Department. During the application process you will need to provide evidence of of eligibility, we can assist you during this step.
