You will need to demonstrate:

• Language, literacy and numeracy suitable for case notes, reports, and professional communication
• Ability to meet placement requirements (e.g., National Police Check, Working with Children Check)
• Readiness to work within child safety, privacy, and mandatory reporting frameworks
• Emotional resilience and a commitment to culturally safe, person‑centred practice

Work placement:

A supervised placement—completed through either paid or voluntary work—allows you to apply your youth engagement, program delivery, risk assessment, and referral skills in real settings such as youth services, schools, outreach programs, or residential environments. While there is no set minimum number of hours, you will be required to complete specific workplace tasks that typically amount to around 50 hours of industry experience.
