Course Overview

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is designed to develop a range of competencies and skills. The demand for early childhood educators is increasing. Learn the skills and gain knowledge to provide a positive environment and facilitate children’s play and learning. Through the Strategix Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, you will be equipped for a position as a child care worker, or educator. Qualification Level Certificate III
Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Over 17 years old, not attending secondary school. Must also complete a language, literacy and numeracy test
Nominal Duration 16 weeks face to face + 8 weeks vocational placement
Attendance 2 - 3 days per week

QLD STRUCTURED ONLINE

Qualification Level Certificate III
Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Over 17 years old, not attending secondary school. Must also complete a language, literacy and numeracy test
Nominal Duration 16 weeks + 8 weeks vocational placement (see delivery method for more information)
Attendance 2 - 3 zoom sessions per week. Zoom sessions will occur during business hours. Usually after midday. Students are required to complete online theory assessments in addition to the zoom sessions.

Delivery Method All theory is completed online. To assist with the learning, students are required to attend online live zoom sessions each week. Students are also required to attend 1 practical session (9am to 3pm) at one of our Academy locations prior to commencing Vocational Placement. Structured online is only available to Queensland based students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Qualification Level Certificate III
Pre-requisites / Entry Conditions Must be an International Student on a student visa (subclass 500). IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English language test result or the completion of 12-week Strategix IELTS Preparation program. Yr 12 equivalent (High School Graduate Certificate)
Nominal Duration 24 weeks face to face + vocational placement
